The activities of Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche

Welcome to issue number three of the Dakini day digest. We’re already almost quarter way through 2017, how time flies! We have some great news to share with you on new courses and upcoming teachings as well as a review of some of the last month’s activities.

New Courses at Samye
Today we are happy to announce the launch of 3 new online short courses and practice support programs!
First up we have “Noble Wisdom of the Time of Death Sutra”, a course based upon Rinpoche teaching from the last fall seminar in Kathmandu. We’ve edited the talk into sections and added some reflections and meditations as well as study notes based on the teachings. The course focuses on how to meditate on Prajnaparamita or the Heart Sutra, which to many is inaccessible when it comes to practice. Rinpoche teaches us how we can approach the profound meditation through many examples and direct instructions, drawing on some of the pith instructions from the Mahamudra and Dzogchen traditions and explaining how to meditate on emptiness in a simple and practical way.
Secondly, we have a short course based on a public talk given in Bangkok last year on the subject of mind training. Rinpoche was particularly pleased with his presentation and thought it would be beneficial to numerous students old and new and as such we decided to take the talk and make it more accessible, editing and adding additional reflections and summary material to help study this essential aspect of Dharma training.
Last and by no means least is ‘The Concise Sang Offering: Practice Support Program’ - this has been popularly requested by many students and we are happy to bring this collection of resources and teachings to you.

Dedication and Aspiration
May I eliminate completely the demons of wrong views,
Along with illness, harmful influence and obstacles,
And may good companions and resources multiply,
So that my wishes are all fulfilled, just as I desire.
