The activities of Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche

As many of you know Losar is just around the corner. The year of the Fire Rooster is fast approaching and the year of the Fire Monkey, the last Guru Rinpoche Year for another 12 years is coming to a close. As such it’s important to reflect on how you can make the most of these last days to accumulate merit and cultivate wisdom.

Dakini Calligraphy from Rinpoche
As we sent out the first issue last month, Rinpoche was near one of the ‘24 Great Sacred Places’ a Dakini site in Kolkata, India. He took the opportunity to paint this calligraphy which we are delighted to share with you all.
Painted specially on Dakini Day near one of the 24 Great Sacred Dakini sites.
Last month was our first issue and there we shared with you a review of all the major activities of this past year. If you missed those you can view them here:

The Lotus Light Dharma Institute is taking shape very quickly as the construction work progresses according to schedule.
At this point in time, it is essential that we raise enough donations to make sure that the construction work continues to progress smoothly without any unnecessary obstacles.
As such we are appealing for donors big and small to come forward and help sponsor the necessary building materials.
The total quantity of bricks we require for this project totals approximately 500,000 pieces.
To date, we have received donations in kind amounting to around 100,000 pieces. This means we still require another 400,000 pieces to see the project through to completion.
Champagon, sacred pilgrimigate site of Vajravārāhī
Any donation will help you to make a karmic link with the only monastery in the area of Chapagon, the sacred pilgrimage site of Vajravārāhī.
On the mundane level, this is a guide to how much benefit your donation will provide:
USD $1 (approximately 8 bricks)
USD $50 (approximately 400 bricks)
USD $108 (approximately 864 bricks)

Any amount big or small is welcome and most appreciated. We encourage you to make the most of this opportunity to cultivate the perfection of generosity.

Dedication and Aspiration.
We encourage you to seize this opportunity to make merit and invest in the future of the Buddha Dharma. May we together realise the great aspirations of Yeshe Tsogyal:
Precious gurus, who are the glory of the teachings,
may you pervade everywhere, like the sky
Shine everywhere, like the sun and moon;
and be always firm, like a mountain.
- excerpted from Vajradhātu Maṇḍala Aspiration (Chokchu Düshyi)
