The activities of Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche

Welcome to the 16th edition of the Dakini Day Digest. This month once again we have an abundance of updates from our Sangha to share with you. This month we have some very important information regarding the Ranging Yeshe Gomde Cooperstown 10th Anniversary, an historic event that you will not want to miss out on!

Recent Events
Phakchok Rinpoche has completed the first half of the teaching tour in Tokyo. Rinpoche taught a gathering of Himalayan sangha, gave a talk on Cultivating Dignity, and taught on Mahamudra practice over the weekend. Next weekend, Rinpoche will bestow teachings on the Ground, Path and Fruition of the Vajrayana. It will begin with a public talk on the Life Story of Guru Rinpoche.
This last month Rinpoche also presided over the Ngakso Drubchen one of the most important annual events on the monastery calendar.
During the Ngakso Drubchen, members of Vietnamese and Chinese community of Samye Institute Hanoi made a generous offering to our monks and nuns welfare general fund.  {Names of donors}
Lopön Urgyen Dorje
Again, under the direction of Phakchok Rinpoche, our Lopön Urgyen Dorje has spent time at two more Nepali villages in the past month and taught the dharma there. One of our monks, Duedul Namgyal created short videos about this Lopön’s visits to Bhotenamlang and Thulopokhara.

Khenpo Gyaltsen
From February 22 to March 25, our Khenpo Gyaltsen and two senior teachers (lopons) traveled to Samagaun, a remote village in Nubri, Nepal. For a month, they gave teachings for the local people, ngagpas and nuns there. In continuation from the previous year, they taught on an Introduction to Buddhism and The Words of My Perfect Teacher. Additionally, they taught reading and writing to the village people.
Khenpo Gyaltsen finances the whole trip, including the teaching materials and books with offerings he received from teaching in Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
Upcoming Events
Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Cooperstown 10th Anniversary
We are very excited to announce that registrations are open for our programs this summer at Gomde Cooperstown with our dear teachers Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche and Tulku Mingmar Tsering.
This year is a very special year for us, as we will also be celebrating our 10th Anniversary! We will be having a celebration on Sunday July 15th, during the Mahamudra Retreat. If you wish to come only for the day, you are welcome to join us!
As we have done in the past, we will continue the Mahamudra and Nine Yanas Programs, and also have new programs with precious opportunities for study and practice. For more information on the programs, please visit:
We will need many hearts and hands with us to prepare for our programs and we would like to invite anyone with genuine interest in the dharma to apply and come to volunteer at Gomde this summer. Our programs rely on the generosity of people that share their time and knowledge with us. This year we need extra help from early June to late August. Volunteers receive room and board and can attend part or all of the programs, depending on how much time they can commit to volunteer. Please consider this opportunity to create merit and assist others to attend the teachings. Contact us at [email protected]
Whether you can attend or not this summer, we would like to ask you to consider making a donation for our 2018 Fundraising Campaign. Per Rinpoche’s request, we continue the important work of upgrading our physical setup and campus. We already have a sponsor for our magnificent, new prayer flag stupa, and we have already received donations to add 5 five more prayer flag poles to the 5 we already have standing. But another vital project is maintenance and improvements of the meditation barn, which is ultimately the most important physical structure that we will ever have.
We are hoping to attract donations for improvements in the meditation barn - for new exterior siding for the barn, a new entrance way, new altar, and new wood flooring. We have received almost $16,000 towards the $50,000 cost of these upgrades and need $34,000 to complete them all. For more information contact us at [email protected] and donate on this link:

Global Magnetizing Accumulation
Eight months ago, Rinpoche requested that all his students take up the magnetizing practice entitled “Giant Cloud of Blessings” as part of their daily practice.
“Learning how to work together to make very vast aspirations as a global Sangha to magnetize excellent conditions for Dharma resounding and all pure aspirations to be fulfilled.”

~ Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche
Since last Dakini Day, we have accumulated an extra 5,167 recitations. This brings our grand total to 57,129 recitations. We’re still a long way from reaching our goal, so let’s put some extra effort into this accumulation! We encourage everyone to participate in this powerful magnetizing activity.
Click here to watch the video message from Rinpoche, read more about the practice and record your accumulations.

Dedication and Aspiration
གང་གི་རིང་ལུགས་རྡོ་རྗེ་ལྟར་བརྟན་ཅིང༌། །
gang gi ringluk dorjé tar ten ching
As your tradition remains as steadfast and secure as a vajra,

ཟབ་རྒྱས་མཛོད་ལྔ་རྟག་ཏུ་སྒྲོག་པ་ཡིས། །
zabgyé dzö nga taktu drokpa yi
And the profound and vast Five Treasures are proclaimed for evermore,

བདག་སོགས་ལེགས་པའི་ལམ་ཀུན་མཐར་ཕྱིན་ཅིང༌། །
dak sok lekpé lam kün tarchin ching
May I and others follow this excellent path through to its very conclusion,

བསམ་དོན་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་དགེ་ལེགས་དཔལ་འབར་ཤོག །
samdön lhündrub gelek palbar shok
And, with our wishes spontaneously fulfilled, may virtue shine in splendour!
