Rangjung Yeshe Perak, Malaysia, has just completed it’s 7th annual charity distribution in conjunction with Chinese New Year. Food hampers containing essentials such as rice, oil, sugar, salt, canned foods, tea, noodles and biscuits, were packed and distributed to the elderly and the disabled. This year the hampers weighed a hefty 10kgs! Due to the kindness of many sponsors, Rangjung Yeshe Perak were able to give hampers to 410 individuals.

New Course at Samye Institute
We are excited to announce a brand new offering at Samye Institute, Mobility for Meditators. This course created by student of Rinpoche, Neil Roberts. Rinpoche often invites Neil to teach during the meditation retreats held at the Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Meditation center in Cooperstown, New York. In this short offering, Neil Roberts presents a series of gentle stretches designed specifically to improve our mobility. Many of these target areas such as our tight hips that make seated meditation postures uncomfortable or inaccessible. This series of simple exercises adds more flexibility and comfort to our sitting meditation practice.

Global Magnetizing Accumulation
Seven months ago, Rinpoche requested that all his students take up the magnetizing practice entitled “Giant Cloud of Blessings” as part of their daily practice.
“Learning how to work together to make very vast aspirations as a global Sangha to magnetize excellent conditions for Dharma resounding and all pure aspirations to be fulfilled.”

~ Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche
Since last Dakini Day, we have accumulated an extra 6,271 recitations. This brings our grand total to 51,962 recitations. We’re still a long way from reaching our goal, so let’s push hard! We encourage everyone to participate in this powerful magnetizing activity.

Lotus Light Dharma Institute
One of Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoches visions has been to build a Dharma School to provide authentic dharma education to his current and future monks. To fulfill Rinpoche’s vision, the Lotus Lotus Dharma Institute project was created to accommodate over 200 monks. There are always challenges in construction yet the project remains on schedule thanks to the efforts of our finance and project management teams, the construction company, and the unwavering dedication of Rinpoche’s monk, Ngedon Temphel, who has been tasked to oversee the site progress. Construction started 18 months ago and is nearing completion of the exterior building. Plumbing and electric wiring works are underway and almost complete. Commencing soon will be the next phases of the construction: flooring, painting and window installation. All this would not be possible without the support of all the very generous sponsors and donors to whom we are tremendously grateful. We rejoice in the great merit they have created in supporting this project.

With aspirations for all sentient beings to be free from suffering and the causes of suffering, Phakchok Rinpoche and Khandro-la sponsored the lighting of 40,000 butter lamps on March 14 and 50,000 butter lamps on March 15. These lamps were lit during the commemoration of the Buddha’s 15 days of miracles, and on this day merit is multiplied 10 million times.
