The activities of Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche

This month, the fourth month of the Tibetan lunar calendar is one of the most important months of the Buddhist year. The full moon day of June 9th - Saga Dawa Düchen - celebrated Buddha Śākyamuni’s birth, awakening, and parinirvāṇa.
Looking forward, the second annual puja conducted by Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche’s monks will take place the second week of July. The three days of puja conclude on the Guru Rinpoche Day of 5th month of the Tibetan calendar. Our monks will accumulate a total of 100,000 repetitions of the Sampa Lhundrup tsok offering prayer (details below).
We also present again the detailed schedule of Gomde Cooperstown Summer 2019 programs with many activities led by Tulku Migmar Tsering, especially the Teaching on Khenpo Ngakchung’s commentary to The Words of My Perfect Teacher on July 5th - 8th.
Finally, we would like to remind you of our monthly supporter campaign. Please consider giving a monthly gift of generosity to help support Samye Institute’s ongoing activities. Click here to become a monthly supporting member.

One Hundred-Thousand Tsok Offerings of the Spontaneous Fulfillment of Wishes—Sampa Lhundrup—Puja
from The Guru’s Heart Practice
July 9th–11th, 2019 Three days of puja concluding on the Guru Rinpoche Day of 5th month of the Tibetan calendar.
Over a period of three days our monks will accumulate a total of 100,000 repetitions of the Sampa Lhundrup tsok offering prayer.
The special time of this puja—the 5th month of the Tibetan calendar—marks Guru Rinpoche’s miraculous birth from a lotus flower. The puja will conclude at the Asura Cave on the 10th day of the Tibetan month, the anniversary of Guru Rinpoche’s birth. Asura Cave is the single most sacred site of Guru Rinpoche outside the land of Tibet. Guru Rinpoche practiced within the cave for a long period of time, overcame all the obstacles, and gained profound realization and accomplishment.

Akara Collection
The Refuge Tree (Tukdrub Barche Kunsel) Thangka
Thangkas – paintings of deities - are traditionally painted on canvas and used as the main support to meditation practice. Reproduced on long-lasting canvas, these thangkas are of such high quality that at first glance they appear painted. You can choose to have your printed thangkas framed in brocade in the traditional Tibetan style or without brocade, allowing you to choose how it will be displayed.
The cycle of teachings renowned as the Guru’s Heart Practice, Dispeller of All Obstacles (Lamey Tukdrub Barchey Künsel) from the Profound Treasures of Chokgyur Lingpa contains a mandala of twelve emanations of Guru Rinpoche.
This thangka depicts the Refuge Tree associated with the Preliminary Practices of this cycle.
Global Magnetizing Accumulation
Rinpoche has requested that all his students, and all who are inspired to do so, recite the Giant Cloud of Blessings, or Wang Dü magnetizing supplication as part of their daily practice. This supplication, composed by Ju Mipham Rinpoche, brings enormous benefit.
Our grand total at the moment is 9,870,412 recitations.
Our Global Accumulation page is now available in many different languages. To see it in your own language, click the flag next to your username on the top right corner.

Teachings on Khenpo Ngakchung’s commentary to The Words of My Perfect Teacher
Gomde Cooperstown New York July 5th - 8th
We are honored to announce that Tulku Migmar Tsering will teach on Khenpo Ngawang Palzang’s (Khenpo Ngakchung) commentary to the Words of My Perfect Teacher. Khenpo Ngawang Palzang was an emanation of Vimalamitra and a disciple of Mipham Rinpoche, the disciple of Patrul Rinpoche, author of the Words of My Perfect Teacher, the seminal Nyingma commentary on the preliminary practices. His main teacher was Nyoshul Lungtok, Mipham Rinpoche’s heart son, whose reincarnation Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche was one of Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche’s root teachers. We are thus extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to receive this precious and foundational teaching, and hope many can join us in Gomde Cooperstown.
