This thangka contains the complete retinue of each of the 12 manifestations based on Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo’s instruction and on the Sheldam Nyingjang. This is the 1st time in 150 years where all the twelve manifestations and their retinues are in one thangka.
In the update below, we rejoice in sharing with you about a recent life release in the USA that saved 2108 beings. And, below, you will find a reminder about the continual butter lamp offerings that we coordinate on a daily basis at the Asura Cave. We encourage you to join in the merit.
For this month, on behalf of all of Samye’s generous sponsors, Samye made a small contribution toward life release. On November 23rd, in Guilford, CT, in conjunction with the local Himalayan community, students held a life release ceremony and liberated 2,000 eels and 108 lobsters.  May the lifespan and health of all of Samye’s patrons be long and prosperous and may all the liberated beings have an auspicious rebirth.

Announcement from Samye Translation Team
The Samye Translation Team shares the joyful news of progress on two of our courses: our Thai team has finished translating Samye’s online course entitled Noble Wisdom at the Time of Death Sūtra. And the Fourth section of the Path of Meditation Level One program, “Trainings”, is now available in Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish!
The Noble Wisdom at the Time of Death Sutra is now available in Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish, Indonesian and Thai!
The Samye Translation Team is delighted to announce that our Thai team has finished translating Samye’s online course entitled Noble Wisdom at the Time of Death Sūtra. This is a sutra on which Phakchok Rinpoche teaches continuously, as it teaches the definitive, or ultimate meaning, relating to Buddha-nature. The timing is auspicious, as Rinpoche will kindly offer live Zoom teachings on this profound sutra on December 18.
The course is part of our “Donate What You Can courses”. If you need assistance on how to access it, please contact us.

The Fourth section of the Path of Meditation Level One course is now available in Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish!
Samye is very pleased to announce that the Fourth section, “Trainings”, is now available in Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish. You can now receive Rinpoche’s guidelines on all Level One shamata meditation trainings for one complete year. During twelve months, you can now gradually work on cultivating a calm and focused mind using different support objects, then slowly learning to train in natural state shamatha. We would like to emphasize that Phakchok Rinpoche asks us to follow the training guidelines as specified, and to progress step by step. Therefore, it is important to practice for the amount of time as explained in each of the trainings and in the meditation chart and to not move on to the next level unless we have completed the previous technique for the required time. Consistency is key for steady progress!
PLEASE NOTE: The translations are at the bottom of each page, below the section “Translations”:

We are happy to know that many of our non-English-speaking Dharma siblings can now benefit from these teachings, and we express our deepest gratitude to our translators, who volunteered to work on this material. Their continuous support and resolve have made this possible.
Akara Collection
Tukdrub Barchey Kunsel Thangka
This cycle of Tukdrub Barchey Kunsel thangka contains the complete retinue of each of the 12 manifestations based on Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo’s instruction and on Sheldam Nyingjang. This is the 1st time in 150 years where all the twelve manifestations and their retinues are in one thangka.
The late Kyabjé Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche described this precious cycle of teachings as follows:
The Barchey Künsel is the heart essence of the accomplished master Padmasambhava who perceives the three times in their entirety. It is the quintessence of one billion heart sadhanas of the Guru, the most unique terma buried in the land of Tibet; and it is the first among the Four Cycles of Guru Sadhana.
